About ExStreamGoer Kennel

In 1997 we purchased a black female Labrador Retriever. Her name is Rustico Dini. A Good friend named Bob McLean had given me a book called "Richard Wolters Water Dog." After reading this book and using these training methods, I was amazed at how a little puppy could be trained so easily and become a CKC Jr. Hunter. In the spring of 1998 I joined the Sunpoke Hunting and Retriever Club. At our meetings each week, we set up hunting and handling tests for our dogs. After being involved with this club, I enjoyed the challenge of training my dogs and decided to enter this eight month old pup in a CKC Jr. Hunter Test. She successfully passed all three of her Jr. Test and earned her title.

In 1999 the Sunpoke Hunting and Retriever Club held the Canadian National Field Trial Championships. After watching the trial and was impressed by a Male dog named Chena River Chavez, he was a finalist in this event and finished second high point dog in the USA. I then inquired breeding arrangements between Dini and Chavez. This was our first breeding for our Kennel. We kept the Male pup who is now our Stud dog.

We then purchased a Yellow female from Brian Dempsey and named her ExStreamGoer Nikita (Niki). Niki's mom (Just plain Anny) is the first Grand Master Hunter in Canada,  Niki's Dad is Dakota's Quickdraw (Cody) and was the top amateur dog in Canada in 2003. Have a look at our Retriever's Pedigrees.

ExStreamGoer Kennel had a ten year plan. To produce well bred hunting and field trail dogs in Canada. We also know that some of these dogs will become family pets--not only are they smart they are a "Companions of a Lifetime."
